NO REJECTION!!!

We got to the hospital at 6am got all checked in. Then they took my little boy to the cath. He went in at 7:30 and was done at 9:30. Pretty fast I thought. Dr. Day said that everything went well. They took 3 pieces of heart for biopsy. All of his pressures look great. The transplant team said that we probably would not know what the results were until tomorrow but to our happy surprise Michelle called and said that he is not rejecting his new heart. Phew!! What a relief!! Daxton did really well today, I am so proud of my little man.
We did however get a little pep talk on feeding him more. I have been just letting him drink what he will during the day but it is obviously not enough so we are uping his feeds. Thats ok, we just need to get him on the growth chart.
Thanks for the prayers, we feel truly blessed to be able to do the things we do with Daxton. We are so so so grateful for the donor family. They have blessed our lives in countless ways.

Wahoo Daxton! That is great news. I think all heart babies don't feel the need to eat, Kylie is the same way. Good thing you have the G-button huh?

HORRAY for no rejection!!! We thought about you all day. Upping his feeds is awesome... Owen is at 1200 cals a day.. I don't even know how many ounces. ALL tube fed, but hey, he's 22.5 lbs so it's working.
I so wish Primary Children's was on our insurance for Transplant. My decision would be SIMPLE!

Yeah! That is great news. The eating thing tends to be a familiar challenge.

Wow. What a week you've had. Has anyone checked your heart? I think it must be INCREDIBLY strong. Such good news about Daxton. Good luck with the feeds!

WooHoo! Good work Daxton.

Tell him he's got to start eating so he's big and strong for the playdates we are going to start having one of these days.

Of course there was no rejection! Daxtonius fights valiantly on! With his roguishly handsome, fearlessly brave field captain, Orlexus, by his side!
