Running fool

I have registered to participate in the Wasatch Back Relay. What I was thinking I am not sure. Alas, I am on the training road. I have a few questions for all you runners out there.

1-What do you eat before you run?

2-What is your favorite music to listen to on a run?

3- When I get about mile 2.5 the balls of my feet start going numb. I have tried to loosening my shoes, that didn't work. So do you have any suggestions.

4- And last but not least, how the heck am I going to run 6.9 miles at one time?

When you figure out the answers.. LET ME KNOW!! I can't run. I am running challenged. My feet hurt, my knees hurt and I feel like I'm all jiggle.

GOOD LUCK!!! Way to go!

1) Steak and eggs
2) White noise - static is the best motivator
3) Run on your heels only
4) you don't... you walk the rest.

You should read www.sherunslikeagirl.blogspot.com (I think that is it, you can click on "kristen" from my blog)
It is one of my friends and two of her running buddies and it has great advise, they are all way into the whole running thing. Good luck!

Hils,

For eating, you want anything that's easy for your body to digest. Banana's are pretty safe . . . but you want to give your body about an hour after eating before you run.

Did you try that play-list I gave you? It works pretty well for me!

And lastly . . . HAVE YOU BEEN TO STRIDERS RUNNING STORE YET??? If you don't have a pair of good shoes, you're just torturing your feet!

Good luck!

Hi Hilary! This is Breeanna (Averi's Mom). I am sorry I haven't called you back yet. For some reason I can't find your number in my phone! Anyways, I know you asked for my blog address and it's taylorandbreeanna.blogspot.com. I am glad Daxton is doing well and you guys had fun in California.

It was so great to see you and share the same fashion style at the luncheon.
I will be starting to train for the 9K that will take place in October for affirming life by The Quest of Gift of Life Foundation as it's all about getting people to sign up for organ donation. Hopefully you can join me on the race?

Hi! I was at the picnic today and never got to talk to you but i wanted to search you out, Aimee was showing me who everyone was :) I just ran the Ogden half marathon today, here are my tips!
1: cup of noodles, chicken flavor. I know, sick huh? But it's the perfect pre running snack. The night before i eat chicken and spaghetti with little sauce!
2: Anything inspirational The Climb by Miley Cyrus, Mountains by Lonestar and Unstoppable by Rascal Flatts are a few of my favs. Yes i run to country music :)
3: New shoes from Striders? Go get your foot analysis done if you haven't, best investment EVER!
4: Take it a little at a time. The first mile is always the worst! Once you get through that, you'll just sore! Where do you live? I won't do the Wasatch back due to lack of sleep issues i have, but i know a TON of people doing it! Good luck!
